Morocco Visa Requirements for International Travelers

Morocco's visa policy is relatively open, which is part of why it has become such a popular destination for travelers from Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australia.

Visa-Free Entry

Citizens of the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and many other countries can enter Morocco visa-free for stays of up to 90 days with a valid passport.

Passport Validity

Your passport should generally be valid for at least the duration of your intended stay, though it is always safest to have at least six months of validity remaining before travel.

Travelers Who May Need a Visa

Some nationalities, particularly parts of Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, do require a visa in advance. It's essential to check with the nearest Moroccan consulate or embassy well before booking flights.

Arrival Process

On arrival, you'll fill out a short immigration form, and your passport will be stamped at Marrakech, Casablanca, or another entry airport. Keep your stamped entry slip until departure.

Extending Your Stay

If you wish to stay longer than 90 days, you'll need to apply for a residency permit at a local police station before your visa-free period expires.

Our Advice

Always confirm current requirements with an official government or embassy source close to your travel date, as visa policies can change.
